Gong Li was so bad in this movie, no chemistry with Colin Farrell. Half the time I have absolutely no idea what the characters were talking about.

Entertaining action. Colin Farrell not believeable as Sonny Crocket. Jamie Foxx is terrific. Lacked a bit of a fun atmosphere which made the TV Miami Vice so great.

Why was it called Miami Vice? It could have been any other title. Director Mann usually makes more stylish film, this did not seem like a Michael Mann film, however good for a cop film.

Great action and special effects!! The only downside to the movie is that the entire middle is about as exciting as watching rocks grow.

The cinematograpy was fantastic, the soundtrack was very good. The screenwriter missed the boat when they did not pay attention to the lifestyle of the charachters and the area. Because the humor between the two was missing they came across as hard which made it harder to cheer for them as compared to the originals. What the movie lacks is truely due to the screenwriting in my opinion. Michael Mann and the actors did a good job with what they had. The action sequence camera work was fantastic as well as the panoramic shots. Also missed the opening sequence that was in the other movies and shows which gave you a little break from the act
