2020 Oscar Nominated Short Films: Animation

Disappointed compared to past years compilations of the best of short animated films. Though there were some pieces worthy of praise one comes away with the feeling of being disappointed of the works not being better. I think one big problem was with some of these pieces you could hardly say they were for anybody as they weren't and I wanted to flick past them to another section. - I have been reviewing and following short films for about 30 years and I can honestly say the short films released in the 80's and 90's were much better than what I have seen in the last few years. Perhaps it is the need of the film makers who are putting themselves first - the desire to make their film without giving due consideration of the audience what they would like to see. If you skip this one, you are not missing much.
